Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Alpha Health process work?
Most patients begin with a free consultation. This gives you an opportunity to learn more about Alpha Health, ask questions, and determine whether our approach is a good fit for your goals. It also allows our team to better understand your health concerns, symptoms, and priorities.
Do I need lab work before receiving recommendations?
Yes. We believe meaningful recommendations start with objective data. Lab work helps our medical team understand hormone health, metabolic health, inflammation, cardiovascular risk factors, and other markers that may be contributing to symptoms.
Can blood work be completed remotely?
Yes. Depending on your location and preferences, lab work can often be completed either at one of our offices or through a local laboratory near your home.
Who reviews my lab results?
Your laboratory results, medical history, intake forms, and reported symptoms are reviewed by a licensed medical provider. The goal is to understand the complete clinical picture rather than focusing on a single number or symptom.
What happens after my lab work is reviewed?
Your provider develops a personalized plan of care based on your health history, goals, symptoms, and laboratory findings. Recommendations are individualized and designed to address the factors most relevant to your situation.
Will I work with a coach?
Yes. In addition to medical oversight, patients meet with a coach to identify areas they would like to optimize. This may include body composition, nutrition, exercise, recovery, accountability, habit development, and long-term health goals.
Is the treatment plan the same for everyone?
No. Alpha Health does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Recommendations are based on your symptoms, laboratory findings, medical history, lifestyle, and personal objectives.
What types of goals do patients typically have?
Patients commonly seek support with:
- Energy and recovery
- Weight management
- Body composition
- Strength and performance
- Hormone health
- Sleep quality
- Longevity and healthy aging
- Confidence and overall wellness
Do I need to know exactly what’s wrong before scheduling a consultation?
No. Many patients simply know they do not feel like themselves. The consultation, laboratory evaluation, and medical review are designed to help identify potential contributing factors and determine the most appropriate next steps.
What is the first step?
The first step is scheduling a free consultation with Alpha Health. During that conversation, you can learn more about the process, discuss your goals, and determine whether a more comprehensive evaluation makes sense for you.
